Just after midnight, HCSO officers responded to the Valero at 14060 Homestead for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, nobody was located at the scene but they did locate shell casings near the gas station pumps. Within a few minutes, they were notified of a gunshot victim at the Shell gas station, located at 1950 N. Sam Houston Pkwy E. A man with a gunshot to the thigh was transported by paramedics to a trauma center and deputies have both scenes closed off for the investigation. According to a witness, he saw two males exit a white Tahoe that seemed to be creeping around the gas station and try to rob two people in the gas station parking lot. The two victims, both store clerks of the Valero, refused to hand over money and the suspects opened fire. The victims quickly got into their vehicle and drove away from the scene, ending up at the Shell station a few miles away. The victims stated there were three males in total that were in the Tahoe and bullet holes could be seen in the victim vehicle. See SOT with Witness Domineke Barnes for more information.
