SYLMAR (CNS) – A transient believed to be in his 20s was arrested Sunday by Los Angeles police and accused of the
stabbing death of a security guard at a Sylmar shopping center.
The stabbing was at the shopping center housing a Food 4 Less and CVS pharmacy among other stores in the 12000 block of Glenoaks Boulevard near Hubbard Street, ABC7 reported.
It’s unclear what led up to the stabbing. The name of the victim — also thought to be in his 20s — was being withheld pending notification of kin.
The suspect was arrested by LAPD officers across the street from the shopping center, according to ABC7.
It has not been revealed where in the shopping center the victim worked as a security guard.
