South Los Angeles Robbery Shooting


LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A 22-year-old man was wounded today in a robbery and
shooting in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred just after 6 p.m. in the area of Manchester Avenue
and Normandie Avenue, according to Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im.
The young man was conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital, Im
said, but details about his condition were not immediately available.
The suspected shooter, who took a chain and medallion from the victim,
fled the scene on foot, according to Im.
The suspect was described as a 27- to 28-year-old black man who is 5
feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has a light complexion. He was
wearing a black hoodie and glasses.
