On October 11, 2017 at approximately 3:38 p.m., the Simi Valley Police Department received a radio call of mentally distressed partially disrobed adult male subject that had fled from the hospital. When the call went out to responding units, Officers arrived within minutes. Ultimately the subject was contacted at 2755 Alamo St. The subject was highly agitated and uncooperative with Officers who were attempting to take him into custody. The subject was in possession of a blunt object and refused to cooperate. During the confrontation, Officers shot at the subject.T he subject was treated and later transported to Los Robles hospital. Simi Valley Detectives are on scene investigating the incident. More details will be released at a later time when authorized to do so by investigators. The subject is currently only being identified as a 46 year old male, Simi Valley Resident.
