Shortly before 9:30 PM, Saturday, San Jose FD responded to reports of a structure fire at the corner of Choctaw and Geronimo. Initial responding units arrived to find a single story home, with heavy fire and possible exposures. A precautionary 2nd Alarm was struck, as firefighters made a quick and aggressive attack on the flames. The fire was knocked down in approximately 30 minutes. Neighbors rescued the lone female occupant of the home, and one of her German shepherds. SJFD later located the 2nd, a 150lb male, in the back yard, unharmed by the fire.
