Los Gatos Winds- Update


A freak wind storm has struck a corridor off Highway 17 in Campbell and Los Gatos this morning. Calls became coming in around 2:45 AM, of trees down, wires sparking, and numerous wind related calls throughout the area. over 2 dozen separate calls have been generated within an hour. Thousands of people throughout the area are without power per PG&E’s website

Los Gatos footage is from Winchester and Albright, and then Oka, North of Lark, and the intersection of Lark and Oka for traffic lights out.

Campbell is San Thomas near Budd for a tree across lanes that CHP was removing, and then at 17 and Camden for wind.


During this wind storm, a 30 foot tree came down and is stuck in live power lines over a residence on Glen Una Dr near Peach Hill Rd. SCCFD responded and has closed off the road until PG&E can de energize the lines and the tree can be cut down.
