Around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Carlsbad Fire responded to a reported house fire in the 2900 block of Ridgefield Drive in Carlsbad. Crews arrived at the scene to find heave smoke and fire conditions at a residential structure. Crews began operations to attack the blaze but it took them approximately 30 minutes to call knock down. One resident actually went back into the structure to rescue another resident who suffered moderate burn injuries. The injured victim was flown by air ambulance to UCSD’s burn center to be treated for her injuries. See SOT for additional details.
