Santa Ana Motorhome Standoff

Santa Ana Motorhome Standoff

SANTA ANA (CNS) – A woman armed with a knife barricaded herself this afternoon in a motorhome in Santa Ana.

The standoff began about 3:45 p.m. in the area of Dyer Road and Pullman Street, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

The street outside the RV was littered with items the woman threw out of the windows. It was not immediately clear if she is the owner of the motorhome.

A crisis negotiation team was trying to coax the woman, who speaks only Farsi, into surrendering, Bertagna said.

A Farsi-speaking officer made contact with the woman as the standoff continued, he said late Tuesday afternoon.   CNS-09-12-2017 17:30
