At approximately 9:15 PM Friday night, Orange County fire authority responded to a reported stuck cat in the 4500 block of West Posey Street. Crews arriving on scene found a cat had fallen into an open cell of a cinder block wall, becoming stuck. Firefighters used power tools and a sledgehammer to open a hole in the wall, rescuing the trapped kitten. The kitten is believed to be a stray and Santa Ana PD is working along with the OCFA to find a temporary home and veterinary care for the animal.
