Around 4:00 AM Sunday morning, the CHP Santa Ana office along with the Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a head on collision on the northbound I-405 freeway just north of the CA-55 interchange. Firefighters arrived to find an SUV well involved in flames and a silver mustang with debris across the entire roadway. The freeway was shut down as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
