GARDEN GROVE (CNS) – A motorist suffered injuries to his face and was found unresponsive by firefighters in his white pickup truck when it left the roadway in Garden Grove today and crashed a tree.

The condition of the motorist was not known, said Garden Grove police Sgt. Michael Viscomi.

The crash occurred a little after 3 a.m. in the area of Valley View Street and Lampson Avenue, said Viscomi, adding that the motorist, the lone occupant inside his pickup truck, was temporarily trapped in his vehicle.

“It took several minutes to extract the driver from the vehicle, and he was immediately transported by ambulance to UCI Medical Center, he said.
